Applying to Carolina Youth Coalition is a straightforward four-step process. Start by finding your CYC campus, then complete your application and submit the required materials. Our team will review everything and contact qualified applicants about next steps.

Step 1: Find Your Campus

Once you know which campus serves your area, you’re ready to begin your application.

Before You Start

  • Plan to complete your application in one sitting. Your progress cannot be saved once you begin.
  • Use a personal email address. Do not use a CMS student email address.
  • Make your responses your own. Essay answers should reflect your authentic experiences and voice. Essays written by parents or copied from ChatGPT will not be accepted.

Step 3: Submit Your Required Materials

Your application is not complete until CYC receives the required supporting materials.

Current 9th, 10th & 11th Grade Applicants

Please submit:

  • A copy of your most recent transcript
  • Income Verification Form
    A link to this form will be included in the confirmation email you receive after submitting your online application.

Step 4: Application Review

Once your application and required materials have been received, the CYC team will review your submission.

Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an interview.

Application updates and next steps will be sent by email and text message, so be sure the contact information in your application is accurate.
